Onne Port, Nigeria

It has been reported that 2 unknown men boarded a berthed offshore supply vessel in Onne Port, Nigeria. An aggressive incident occurred during the boarding that resulted in the Captain of the vessel being wounded. The 2 perpetrators left the vessel and the Captain was transferred to the medical centre in the port for treatment. The report also states that no shots were fired nor was anything stolen from the vessel. MDAT-GoG have confirmed the boarding but no further information is currently available. Clearwater will continue to monitor the situation and update accordingly

 

All vessels within the vicinity of this alert are advised to operate with a heightened level of security and invited to report any suspicious activity to MDAT-GoG.
